Elevate Business Summit – Elevate19

About the Summit

June 8th, 2019 | York, NE

Elevate19 took place in York, Nebraska, and marked the very first of the Elevate business series. This summit went above and beyond to provide child care centers and family child care providers across the state with access to the resources they need to improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness. The result? Allowing them to focus more on delivering high-quality care to the young children and families they serve.

The summit featured keynote speaker Louise Stoney – a nationally renowned expert in finance and policy in the Early Childhood field, as well as Heidi Hagel Braid – CPO at First Children’s Finance. Breakout sessions covered the following topics: human resources, financial management, marketing, business operations, and leadership development.

Over 140 individuals from more than 30 counties across the state of Nebraska attended Elevate19. Attendees came from a variety of different backgrounds in the early childhood field: 56% came from child care centers, 44% were family child care providers, and 16 attendees are hoping to one day open a new center!

In an effort to help offset the cost of attendance, 41 scholarships were provided for a total award of $7,074.
