Our Member Centers

NECC is a consortium of leading early childhood organizations that operate within a lean but robust shared services organizational structure that facilitates knowledge sharing and cost reduction. Our early childhood organizational partners include Educare Omaha, Educare Lincoln, and the Omaha Early Learning Centers.

Early Head Start services are delivered through a partnership between the Collaborative, our child care partners, and community-based social service providers. NECC-supported sites boast single-age classrooms, comprehensive family engagement programs, highly-qualified staff, and on-site healthcare professionals.

The Omaha Early Learning Centers

In addition to being part of our shared services structure, the Omaha Early Learning Centers (OELC) is also our Early Head Start-Child Care partner. The OELC at Skinner and Gateway Elementary are community-based child care programs that operate infant and toddler classrooms on or adjacent to elementary school campuses as the first phase of a birth-to-five continuum.

The mission of the Omaha Early Learning Centers is to provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality child care for infants and toddlers. Our Centers provide a stable, secure learning environment that fosters a solid foundation for school preparation and lifelong success. Committed to the families we serve, our primary focus is building relationships to support and strengthen families within the community.

Educare Omaha

Educare Omaha is innovative partnership between the public and private sectors to create a more efficient, more effective early learning program. A research-based program that prepares vulnerable, young children for school. A specially designed place that nurtures early learning and sends a bold message about the value of investing in the first five years. And a compelling platform to drive change among policymakers, business leaders and early childhood providers by demonstrating what quality early learning looks like.

Each Educare school tailors its programs to the needs of the families they serve, with two locations in Omaha—Educare Omaha at Kellom Elementary School and Educare Omaha at Indian Hill Elementary School.

Educare Lincoln

Educare Lincoln is designed to help children develop a positive self-concept, enhance their creativity, and enrich each child’s life socially, intellectually, and emotionally.  Educare Lincoln provides an atmosphere of acceptance in which the individual needs of each child are considered and in which the child can flourish and grow under the guidance of qualified teachers with the support of their families.

Educare Lincoln is based on the developmental approach to early childhood education that places emphasis on learning skills, through play, that are geared to each child’s stage of readiness or development.  Our approach to learning recognizes the tremendous capacity and desire of the young child to discover and explore the environment of their immediate world, enabling him or her to convert his natural curiosity into the learning process.  Learning at Educare is also based on the beliefs that parents are a child’s primary educator.  Educare Lincoln is not only a place for children to learn and grow, but also a place for parents and families to grow and reach their full potential.
