Child Care, Covered

Nebraska recently increased income eligibility for child care subsidy. For families who previously were denied child care subsidy for earning too much, this new law may now deem you eligible! To get an idea of if you qualify, take a look at the chart below:

Monthly Income Limits for Child Care Assistance

Depending on your household size and monthly household income, your child care costs will be fully or partially covered by this new program. For clarification, a household size of three could be two parents/caregivers and one child, or one parent/caregiver and two children.

Beginning on Oct. 1, all families will need to re-apply for child care subsidy. Whether you currently receive child care subsidy, previously received subsidy but were removed for making too much money, or were denied altogether, all Nebraska families with young children need to re-apply for this new child care subsidy program.
