Through the Licensing Toolkit, NECC provides materials, guidance, and support to help unlicensed and potential providers fulfill state licensing requirements, meet health and safety standards, and become part of a professional network for family child care business owners.
Getting Started with Licensing Kit
This box focuses on materials to meet or support the necessary health and safety licensing requirements.
- Cabinet safety locks/outlet covers
- Set of hardwired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors
- Fire extinguisher
- Fully stocked first aid kit
With Toolkit #1, participants will have access to the Nebraska Early Childhood Exchange that contains valuable resources for creating sound health and safety policies and procedures for programs.
Quality Enhancement Kit
Providers can choose from a menu of themed boxes designed by Lakeshore Learning filled with toys, books, and learning materials to enhance the quality of the child care program.
Professional Development and Community Resources Kit
This box focuses on tools for inspiring professional development and resources for family partnership.
