Self-Care is the Winning Move
Join the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at NECC (3200 N 30th St., Omaha, NE 68111) for RECHARGE: a no-cost wellness day designed for child care providers across Nebraska.
Enjoy chair yoga, guided meditation, aromatherapy, massage, creative activities, and a hands-on Make & Take station—all at no cost to you.
Plus: Brunch is on us, and every attendee is automatically entered to win one of three self-care prize packs (must be present to win). Complete a bingo during the event and take home a prize, too!
This is a flexible, come-and-go event designed with your schedule in mind. Stay for the whole experience or drop in for the activities that interest you most—it’s entirely up to you. Registration is required to attend.
What to expect at RECHARGE
1. Resource Center Access
Get ready to unleash your creativity at NECC’s Resource Center! Nebraska’s child care providers can cut unique shapes, print any documents, laminate your own creations—or ones made at NECC—and use so many other helpful tools!
2. Wellness Activities
Mind & Movement: Chair Yoga and Guided Meditation (Room 202)
Relax and reconnect with chair yoga and guided meditation designed to reduce stress, enhance flexibility, and boost mindfulness—all from your chair. No experience needed; just come as you are and leave refreshed.
REST & Reset: A Hallway Oasis (NECC’s Wellness Room Hallway)
The REST & Reset Hallway Oasis is a designated area intended for relaxation and recharging. It provides aromatherapy and massage options in a quiet setting. Individuals may use this space to pause during their day and resume activities afterward.
3. Recharge Your Creativity
Creative Recharge: Restore and Reflect (Room 204)
Take a break with calming, creative activities. Enjoy music therapy, set goals with vision boards, relax through mindful coloring, and gain clarity by journaling. These accessible options help you pause and recharge—no experience needed.
Make & Take: Social-Emotional Learning Through Storytelling (Room 201)
Visit our Make & Take station to explore evidence-based activities designed to promote social-emotional learning in early childhood settings. Engage in structured exercises aligned with selected book themes and receive both the book and accompanying materials to facilitate meaningful discussions and foster emotional growth among young children.
4. Brunch
Stop by for a delicious charcuterie spread, prepared by Pamela Alston from Elegant Ladies Catering. You’ll find a mix of sweet and savory bites to enjoy, perfect for snacking while networking with other providers. And don’t forget to grab a non-alcoholic mimosa while you’re there!
5. Door Prizes
Everyone who stops by will be entered into our Grand Prize drawing—just be sure you’re present to win! We’ll be giving away three self-care packages curated from Etsy as our grand prizes. Plus, if you complete a bingo during the event, you’ll receive a special prize as well!
