OMAHA, Nebraska – The Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC), a leading statewide nonprofit that addresses the diverse needs of the child care workforce and the families they serve, has announced Milton Trabal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.

Trabal brings nearly 40 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare, logistics, and corporate finance to his role as CFO. A Marine Corps veteran, he combines operational discipline with strategic financial insight to deliver measurable results. His unique skillset makes him ideally positioned to lead NECC’s financial strategy and a valuable partner in the organization’s continued growth.

Trabal has built and led finance departments, reduced aging receivables by 50%, and secured $1.6M in savings through bond refinancing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University and completed graduate-level coursework in the MBA program at the University of Nebraska–Omaha. Most recently, Trabal served as a Director of Accounting and Finance via CFO Systems, a nationwide fractional executive leadership company that provides full-scale organizational support for organizations.

“Milton’s demonstrated financial leadership and values alignment are a perfect match for NECC,” said Sarah Ann Kotchian, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at NECC. “He offers a strong perspective well suited to the complexity of this role, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.”

On his new appointment, Trabal said, “NECC is making a real impact in the early childhood field and on child care businesses in Nebraska. I’m excited to be joining the team and contributing to the continued success of the mission.
