Tell us about yourself!

My name is Sarah, and I am the mama of two littles, Benjamin (5 years old) and Aurea (2 years old). I have been working at Kindercare for the past three years and just got promoted to Assistant Director. I love working with children and am excited for the opportunity to learn and grow through Parent Ambassadors.

What made you want to become a Parent Ambassador?

My sister used to work for First Five Nebraska and sent me the application. I am fairly new to early childhood education, so I am excited to learn and strive to make a difference in the community.

What do you see as the greatest need for your community?

Getting mothers adequate care and basic needs for their children. I know there are a lot of great programs (EPS, Bethlehem House, etc) out there to help with this. However, sometimes mothers in need do not know that they are accessible or do not have the means to obtain help.

What do you hope to accomplish during your Ambassadorship?

My older sister, Jennifer Goettemoeller Wendl, has always been my mentor, along with my husband and children.

Who or what inspires you?

My children and my community inspire me. I would like my community to have more opportunities in other areas like education and resources.
