Early Head Start Application Days

Families who are looking for an early childhood program in the Omaha Metro may qualify for Early Head Start! This Spring, we will be hosting our Application Days (annual, day-long, live-assistance sessions hosted in Omaha) specifically to help you through the Early Head Start application process!

4 Easy Steps to Attend an Application Day:

  1. Apply to an Early Head Start Program.
  2. Schedule an intake appointment during one of Spring Application Days.
  3. Gather the necessary documents.
  4. Stop by the Collaborative for your appointment!

NECC Launches Business Pathways to Quality

Child care providers who are center directors or licensed in-home providers are now able to take part in our brand-new program, Business Pathways to Quality. This program offers exclusive access to grant funds, direct mentorship support, quality assessment, and more – all while working towards a specific goal that you set with your mentor. Tax Season Support for Child Care Providers

Navigating tax season can feel overwhelming, especially for in-home child care providers who juggle countless responsibilities! The Nebraska Exchange serves as a support hub by offering a wealth of resources designed to make tax season more manageable. Providers can find essential information and guidance to help them confidently tackle their tax-related challenges!

Licensing Toolkit Program

If you are an in-home child care provider who is looking to become licensed, look no further! You can take part in NECC’s Licensing Toolkit Program and receive program materials, professional development opportunities, and a wide range of children’s books. Taking part in this program not only equips you with essential tools but also opens the door to new opportunities within the child care field. The biggest bonus: you will become a licensed Nebraska child care provider!

Child Development Associate – How to get one, renew one, and earn $500.

Our CDA Spring Session is in full swing, but the CDA 50th Anniversary Amnesty Program is active until July. Did you miss out on this season’s CDA class? No problem! Our next session will begin in the Summer. Have you started the process of completing your CDA through NECC, but you haven’t crossed the finish line yet? Again, no problem! Take NECC’s CDA Prep Course and show proof of earning your CDA anytime before November, and you will automatically qualify for $500!*

*Anyone who completes their CDA from start to finish through NECC’s CDA Prep Course will earn $500 on a first-come, first-served basis until November 21, 2025, or until all funds have been dispersed.
