Pharmacy Technician at CHI

Enjoys spending quality time with family

Tell us about yourself!

Hi, My name is Breanna Young; I have one son who will soon have a playmate, whether he likes it or not. I recently made a job change from a RBT to a Pharmacy Technician with CHI. My hope is to maybe even become a pharmacist. I love it so much, and I’m always learning something new. I love to laugh and smile often, even when I just want to be left alone. I would say I am the identical twin to Pollyanna, and I wholeheartedly believe that there is some good in all things and situations; we just have to look and believe in it. My favorite way to pass time is spending quality time with my now 1-year-old; time is never slow with him. My hobbies are reading Christian novels, going for walks, and crocheting. I practice self-care by being intentional to schedule it in my calendar even if that means waking a little early to achieve the bare minimum of self-care.

What made you want to become a Parent Ambassador?

I found out about the Parent Ambassadors through a Facebook ad that popped up after I had been searching for child development resources.

What do you see as the greatest need for your community?

I am new to the community, but if I had to guess, I would say more parent role models and peer support.

What do you hope to accomplish during your Ambassadorship?

I hope to share my experiences with being resourceful when individuals need even the slightest support, meeting and making new like-minded lifelong parent friends, and lastly, being part of something bigger than myself to see an individual, community, state, and national change in the project of empowering and equipping our parents so they can, in return, enrich the lives of our children today and forever in all areas of life.

Who or what inspires you?

My faith inspires me to see pass the past and move forward in the present and hope in the future.
