Access to affordable, high-quality child care is one of the largest barriers to economic and community well-being in Nebraska. To shed light on this issue and spark meaningful dialogue, Film Streams and Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC) partnered to present a screening of Clarissa’s Battle, a compelling documentary that follows one mother’s fight for affordable child care.
About the Film
Clarissa’s Battle tells the powerful story of Clarissa, a single mother who, after experiencing homelessness with an infant, became a passionate advocate for affordable child care and preschool as a human right. Her relentless pursuit of justice highlights the need for systemic change and the importance of providing families with the resources they need to thrive.
