Tell us about yourself!

My name is Nisha Davis. I have a husband and two children, a girl, age 5, and a boy, age 10. I am a child care provider, home 1, located in North Omaha. I have been working with children of all ages for about 20 years in different capacities. I have worked at various after-school programs and for the Omaha Public Schools District. I have a teaching certificate in secondary Health and Special Education. I also have an administrative degree in K-12 and a leadership endorsement. I like watching Lifetime movies and spending time with my family. Reading inspirational tools and working out are some of my hobbies.

What do you see as the greatest need for your community?

Quality early childhood education and parental involvement in their child’s education. Ongoing resources and training for parents and educators.

What do you hope to accomplish during your Ambassadorship? 

Learning ways to support children and families.

Who or what inspires you?

Leaders who support underserved communities and are nonjudgmental to building a better community. They want to help at all costs. Gandhi, Michelle Obama, my old principal, and many other wonderful leaders.
